Julian Kani Thomas

December 14, 1996 ~ January 26, 2019 (age 22)

Julian Kani Thomas was born December 14, 1996 in Waycross, Georgia. Julian was affectionately known as “Ju Ju” and “Jiggy”. He was a likeable person who truly loved his family and was especially close to his grandmother Pastor Bettye Lewis. Julian was a member of Wings of Deliverance and attended church from an early age.  He received his formal education through the Ware County School System. He was a quiet friendly person whom many loved. He enjoyed playing football and was a member of the Ware County Gators Football and Wrestling Team. He also joined the JROTC program.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Mr. Orlando Lewis and his maternal grandmother Ms. Patricia Porter.

He left this life on Jaunray 26, 2019 and leaves to mourn, his mother Ineva Thomas of Waycross, GA; father, Jaylen Thomas (Debra) of Homerville, GA; four sisters, Kadezia Thomas and Cierra Thomas, both of Waycross, GA, Chasidy Thomas of Homerville,GA, and Giavonia Lopez (Will) of Honolulu, Hawaii; two brothers, Myron Thomas of Waycross, GA, and Joel Fields of Homerville, GA; grandmother, Bettye Lewis of Waycross, GA; grandfather Allen Thomas of Columbus, GA; great-grandmother, Hattie L.Thomas of Fort Washington, MD; great-grandfather, Artis Thomas (Blanch) of DuPont, GA; six uncles, Lavell Porter of Lakeland, GA; Zachery Lewis of San Antonio,TX; Timothy Lewis (Angela) of Phoenix, AL, Michael Lewis (Lashune) of Waycross, GA; Seth Lewis( Shirelle) of Jesup, GA; and Nathan Lewis of Waycross, GA; one aunt Orrick Porter of Chipley, FL; fourteen great-uncles J. B. Porter (Mary-Ann), Alexander Lacey (Joann), Gregory Lacey (Pamaresa) all of Homerville; GA, Billy Lacey (Sherry) of Ambrose, GA, Arthur Lacey, Jr. (Kim) of Lakeland, GA, Henry Porter, John Porter (Stacey), Jesse Porter and Larry Porter (Teri), and Marty Porter all of FL; Anthony Thomas of Las Palmas de Grand Canaria Island, Spain; Michael Thomas of Charlotte, NC; Adrian Thomas (Debra) of Vancouver, WA, and Eric Thomas - Washington, DC. eleven Great- Aunties Shirley Carter of Homerville, GA; Dorothy Hayes of Dixions Mills, AL; Luella Cook (Harry) of Fayetteville, NC; Mirror Porter, Rosa Ray (Maurice), Glenda Porter (Ray), and Geraldine Bowers (Carlos) all of FL; Juanita Thomas of Washington, DC; Geneva Thomas Brown of Rockville, MD; Debra Thomas Southerland (Cedric) of Rockville, MD; Karen Thomas Lee (Jimmy) of Accokeek, MD; six nephews, Carlos Ivey, Bently Paschall, Akil Killens, Jahvioun, and Jhahyiel Fields all of Waycross, GA; and Elijah Lopez of Honolulu, Hawaii; three nieces; Brooklyn Morehead and Ajalah Fields of Waycross, GA; and Journee Johnson of Homerville, GA, a very special loved one, A’myraca Owens, and a host of sorrowing cousins, friends, and loved ones.
